If you prefer the technology of an engine, flights aboard private planes across the region are also available through May thru  October 15.

Skiing

Turkey has more than 10 skiing resorts scattered in Anatolia. Most famous ones are:

  • Uludag – close to Bursa – 2.543 m high – with 24 slopes
  • Paladoken – close to Erzurum – 3185 m high – with 22slopes of which 2 of them are announced as Olympic by FIS. Longest slope of the region is here.
  • Kartalkaya – close to Bolu, 3.916 m high – with 21 slopes
  • Erciyes – close to Kayseri – 3.916 m high – with 32 slopes
  • Sarikamis – close to Kars – 2.634 m high – famous for its crystal flakes of the Alps with 5 slopes
