Likia and Fethiye

According to historians, Lycian people lived in the prehistoric Late Bronze Age and they built city-states along the Mediterranean Sea coast such as Xanthos, Patara, Myra, Pinara, Tlos, Olympos and Phaselis.

The Lycian Way is a marked, over 500 km, long-distance trail in southwestern Turkey around part of the coast of ancient Lycia. Itis used by the Lycians as a footpath and mule trail and stretches from Hisarönü (Ovacık), near Fethiye, to Geyikbayırı in Konyaaltı. Path is opened in 1999 for hiking tours where intersections are marked with yellow directional signs. There are many beautiful areas to explore, one of the biggest skydiving facilities are close by.

Fethiye is one of the prominent tourist destinations in the Turkish Riviera.  It is one of Turkey’s well-known tourist centers and is especially popular during the summer, offering breathtaking time on many beaches and seaside resorts. Fethiye Museum, which is very rich in ancient and more recent artifacts, also displays and testifies to the successive chain of civilizations that existed in the area.  Dream looking at the turquoise of the Dead Sea, or think next to the stillness of the Lycian tombs, feel the freedom when skydiving or biking around in the mountains.
